And Now- Gigs
Please
Note: Ticket prices maybe subject to a booking fee. The "Year of The Rat" Tour 'The Rats', will feature Garry Roberts on guitar and occasional vocals, Simon Crowe on drums and vocals - plus Peter Barton from The Animals on bass and lead vocals, and Darren Beale from The Electric Shepherds on lead guitar and vocals. In addition, Johnnie Fingers has signalled his intention to join the band as soon as circumstances allow. Along with all the old BTR favourites their new version of "I Don't Like Mondays" is well worth hearing. It is a back-to-basics approach, intended to reflect the earthy spirit and sound of the early Boomtown Rats. The band performs all the classic hits, along with ‘live’ favourites like ‘Joey’s On The Street Again’ and ‘Neon Heart’. The tour kick's-off in August 2008 with the following confirmed dates:
Garry has been extremely busy learning a new chord, and with luck, he will have finished learning it by the time he gets to Blackpool! The band will also be playing some selected dates in December, with a full UK tour being put together with another well-known band, for January 2009. There is also the prospect of a new album in early 2009. Later in 2009, the band will be doing gigs in Ireland and Europe, Canada and Japan. Please keep checking this page for further updates!
