Location
The villa is situated 2 miles to the sea, and 2 miles to the mountains 40 minutes from Ercan airport. 1 1/4 hours from Larnaca airport North Cyprus is described as the last unspoiled paradise in the Mediterranean, "A corner of earth touched by Heaven". Those who have visited Northern Cyprus will remember an island of golden beaches, brilliant weather, mountain forest and ancient castles. But most remember the warm, friendly faces of the people of the Turkish Cypriot people. It is a small country, only about 15 miles from north to south and 120 miles from east to west with a large mountain range running through the middle. The seaside town of Kyrenia (Girne) with its surrounding mountain range is the most popular, with its beautiful harbor surrounded by cafes and bars, stunning beaches, ancient castles and fantastic shopping and restaurants. The village of Alsancak (alice and jack), very near to Kyrenia has something to offer everyone with its spectacular views, authentic village atmosphere and easy access to the beaches and restaurants. There are a couple of well-stocked mini markets for all your supplies, plus a new larger supermarket. Untouched and unchanged, visiting the island gives the opportunity to experience a Mediterranean island largely by-passed by the modern world, while offering all that a visitor could require. Along the northern coast stretch the pine-clad Kyrenia Mountains sloping gently to the warm and tranquil waters of the Mediterranean. With its breath taking views of the mountains and coastline, anybody coming to Girne (Kyrenia) will appreciate its natural beauty. Numerous sandy beaches are scattered along the coast and
there is an abundance of natural life. Bathing is safe, there being very
little by way of tide, and underwater visibility is over 30 metres. Boasting
almost year-long sunshine, it is an excellent holiday destination. Contact: Chris Graham
